Insanity Day 5 & 6: Pure Cardio & Plyometric Cardio Circuit

Oops, I forgot to write a post about yesterday’s exercise! Sorry! Yesterday was just very hectic in the best and worst ways! Yesterday was Pure Cardio and wow, I had forgotten how fast paced that routine is! You’re always moving throughout the whole video, they do not give you any breaks, but I actually enjoy that because it makes the routine go by really really fast! 

Today was Plyometric Cardio Circuit and I did much better than Tuesday! I am really frustrated though because right in the middle of the exercise my mom decided to quit because her thighs hurt! She keeps doing the exercises wrong and isn’t really stretching correctly which is probably why she’s hurting so much! I keep trying to correct her but she really doesn’t get it and she gets annoyed with me -.- 

Hopefully, she’ll keep going with it Monday; maybe tomorrow’s rest day is exactly what she needs.

Insanity Day 3 (Cardio Power & Resistance)

GUESS WHAT I’M DOING AGAIN!!! 

Yes people, i am beginning insanity again! I had stopped doing insanity because I moved to my dorm and let me tell you that it is tiny so there was really no space to do just about anything, let alone all the crazy exercises insanity demands!

I was doing well with going to the GYM and everything and did it up to the end of october, but then midterms came up and I went completely nuts thanks to the stress and well forgot about exercise (actually didn’t forget at all, the guilt of not doing it was constant)!

I’ve been wanting to go to the Gym again but I am always using the cold as an excuse, as I always walked to the Gym with my exercise clothe and believe me it isn’t fun to walk while it’s 30 degrees F and you’re wearing shorts! I could’ve just changed in the Gym but for some reason I am uncomfortable with this (or maybe it was just another excuse)

But recently I decided that I had to get back on the healthy train since I had been doing so well during the summer and I wasn’t going to let a little bit of stress change that! 

So I rearranged some stuff in my room and managed to get a little rectangle of free space, enough to do most of the exercises for Insanity. Still believe me it is hard as fuck to do the exercises without slapping the heater, hitting my bed, smacking the wall or kicking the sink yet I’ll try my best (something is better than nothing right!) 

I’ll let you know how it all goes, plus I started Paleo since even though there are sooooooo many high carb foods in the dining halls most of them taste like crap anyway so to leave them altogether is really not that difficult!

Insanity Day 20 (Plyometric Cardio Circuit)

Oh my God!! My calves really hurt today!! It made it a bit difficult to complete the exercise but I just tried to not think about it and kept going! Really happy I finished 

Also guys/gals, THEY FINALLY TOOK MY BRACES OFF!!! WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I’m am super EXCITEDDD!!!! 


Insanity Day 19 (Cardio Power & Resistance)

Well guys today was a complicated day, everything that I thought would turn out awesome today went right around and kicked me in the ass! The surprise I had for you guys was that they were taking my braces off, and well my ortho decided to only take the braces off my lower teeth and leave the upper ones with braces until tomorrow… fan-f*cking-tastic. Afterwards, I wanted to meet with some friends before I left to USA but those bastards left me hanging, WOO-freaking-HOO! So I wasn’t that excited about doing any exercise but I i wasn’t going to let that stop me and i am so happy I did it because at least something went according to plan today!

Tomorrow I’ll post a picture braceless ASAP! see you guys then 

Also I forgot to post my lunch and dinner so here they

Insanity Day 17 (Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs)

Today’s workout was interesting! A storm started passing through Puerto Rico today and it’s been raining almost non-stop, and since I do my exercise in the pateo I had to do exercise in the rain!! It was a super refreshing but it was a bit slippery so I had to be careful were I stepped but besides that the exercise was great!!

I am really getting better at this video and I just love the Cardio Abs workout!! 


Insanity Day 16 (Plyometric Cardio Circuit)

My goodness!! Today my calves were on fire during the exercise!!! I was able to push through the pain but WOW, I definitely felt the burn! Still I am getting better and better at these exercises!! 

Today also was a great day, got a haircut and bought some new clothe for college (since none of the old stuff fits) :P

This week is just going to keep getting more awesome, I know it!


Insanity Day 15 (Fitness Test)

OMGGG!!!! I am so f*cking pumped guys!!!!! I did soo incredibly well today!!! I’ve gotten so much better, I can’t even believe it!!! It’s just amazing!!! I remember that two weeks ago I almost fainted because of how horrible the workout was and I barely even had the strength to stand up between each exercise! But now I had so much energy and was able to push through every single exercise! 

I didn’t post the first week’s results because I was a bit embarrassed by some of the results but I am soooo PROUD of this week’s results that I am going to post them.

Insanity Day 13 (Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs)

Wow! I am extremely proud of myself today! I thought this workout would be extremely difficult if not impossible because I find Pure Cardio to be one of the hardest exercises and that combined with another video seemed a bit too challenging. BUT I was able to do Pure Cardio much better than ever before, I was surprised and I kept pushing myself further than ever before and by the time I was done I was extremely pumped for the next exercise when I thought I was going to be too tired for it. 

I am so happy and proud right now you have no idea! I can’t believe I am already done with week 2!!!! YESHHH! Thankfully tomorrow is my rest day yet if I feel up to it I might go for a run, haven’t gone for a run since I started Insanity and I miss them. 


Insanity Day 12 (Cardio Power & Resistance)

I just LOVE this workout! It is definitely my favorite of all the videos! It is challenging but I just feel it hits every muscle and keeps you at a steady pace! Really did sweat today though, my God!!!

Also this videos has some of my favorite lines of all the Insanity videos like: “How do you feel?… I feel like sh*t” hahaha! That girl is my hero! 

Can’t believe that tomorrow I’ll be finishing week 2! Amazing! Yet I think tomorrow will prove to be one of the hardest workouts since it’s going to be Pure Cardio AND Cardio Abs! 0.o oh my….


Insanity Day 11 (Cardio Recovery)

I love how refreshing it is to do that workout ! Don’t get me wrong there are some parts that really do get you sweating ( like those squat holds & pulses o.O ) but it was nice to relax the muscles.

I did notice that I am getting more flexible but there is still a long way to go to where I want to be but I am getting closer and closer with each day! Bring on tomorrow’s exercise!


Insanity Day 10 (Plyometric Cardio Circuit)

Well today has been an incredibly hectic day! I’ve barely been home today and came back extremely at 8:30 when I had hoped I would be back at home by 6 -.- . So I had programmed to eat out and then come back at 6 to exercise at 7 like I always do but I ended up eating at 8:30 and had to exercise at 10 !!! 

So I was pretty beat and what I had eaten wasn’t that light (it was chicken and sweet plantains) so during the exercise I just felt uncomfortable because of the full stomach. Still I managed to push through and keep going! I also had some ankle pain during the day but the stretches were enough to calm it. Hoping for a better exercise tomorrow!


Insanity Day 9 (Pure Cardio)

Let me just clarify that the exercise that I most hate of the Insanity program is pure cardio -.- I mean even Shaun T in the video talks about how he is scared of what is coming up after the warm up o.O are you f*cking serious?! 

I did really well compared to the last time I did this video but I just can’t get over the fact that there aren’t any rests, you just keep moving throughout the WHOLE workout!! It is the most challenging out of all the videos but hey that’s why I am doing this right! Happy about my progress and happy that I don’t feel as sore during and after the workouts! Let’s keep doing this guys! 


Insanity Day 8 (Cardio Power & Resistance)

Wow! I really needed this exercise ( <—- words that I would have never said three months ago) ! Yesterday being the rest day I felt like something was missing, like if I had forgotten something… I JUST WANTED TO MOVE!! I am just in love with the Insanity workout! Don’t get me wrong I do feel like crap while I’m doing it but I just feel so challenged, so pushed and when I actually accomplish something I feel so damn PROUD!!

So this video I had done before and I feel I did so much better!! I am especially noticing the difference when the warm up starts since before even that kicked my ass and now I can really push through it !! :DD I am just so proud of myself and the satisfaction I feel after each exercise is just immense! 

Also, I no longer feel as sore as the first week, thankfully my body is adjusting! I just feel amazing and energized!!! I mean these past weeks I have so much PURE ENERGY!!!! I am being so productive during the day and I have just stopped procrastinating! Thumbs up! haha!
